Counterfeiting is the act of manufacturing fake or altering genuine currency. The market for the counterfeit currency has changed over the past years. High-quality counterfeit currency can be produced very quickly by skilled printers using traditional offset lithographic methods. However, organized crime groups are also producing digitally printed fakes, using the latest technology and laser or inkjet printing techniques. Wagons Training Program will help the participants understand the key actionable expected from bank staff to identify counterfeit currencies and also know RBI recourse to deal with counterfeit currency transactions.
